WHAT IS OUR APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP?
Our approach to leadership is unique because we are not concerned with position or status. We define leadership as anyone aspiring or in a position to make an impact or influence others in a workplace or social setting. Our approach is a cutting edge, and is delivered by highly competent, capable and qualified indigenous facilitators.
Our approach is tailored to leadership in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander domain, and is designed to shift your way of being into a more powerful and resourceful state. Our approach will challenge your commitment to wanting to make a difference. Our leadership programs are open and suited to people from any background- Indigenous and non-Indigenous.
WHY IS DIVERSITY IMPORTANT IN LEADERSHIP?
Diversity is about empowering people, as a leader. It is absolutely crucial to have the capability to work in culturally diverse teams to harness their collective creative power. It makes an organisation effective by capitalising on all the strengths of each employee.
Diversity in leadership is not about political correctness or harassment prevention, in our society, there are laws preventing bullying or harassment based on our differences, and most companies have policies that protect employees. Diversity is, about valuing and using the differences in every person to improve innovation and as a result getting the edge over your competition as a result.

LEADERSHIP IN THE INDIGENOUS FIELD?
Predominant leadership approach across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander domain derives from a political or bureaucratic model and that there are deep seated historical reasons why that is the case. These models emphasise hierarchy, position, power and status, and there are numerous and well documented examples of where these have been abused.
Within a context of recognition, with the above in mind, our vision is to working to achieve Closing the Gap on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Disadvantage and Reconciliation in this country, and in a manner where our cultures are recognised and respected for their uniqueness, we are focused on developing effective leaders with the right mind and skill sets to be able to influence and impact others to cause a change. Anyone can be equipped to play his/her role in ‘Closing the Gap’.
